Hubble Bubble

Hubble Bubble is generally an uncontrolled mixture[1] and this dish is similar to Bubble and Squeak in that it is an English dish containing leftover food items such as potatoes, cabbage, brussel sprouts, carrots and onion but with the addition of baked beans in tomato sauce.[2]

While the ingredients of the dish may change the one ingredient that will always be included in Hubble Bubble is the baked beans in tomato sauce, the Heinz variety is commonly used.[3]

Bubble and squeak was a popular dish during World War II, as it was an easy way of using leftovers during a period when most foods were subject to rationing.
